By Order of the Realm: Camping Rules & Guidelines

To ensure a safe, enjoyable, and merry stay for all who camp at the Loxwood Joust, we kindly ask that all guests follow the guidelines below.

GENERAL CAMPSITE RULES

All campers must hold a valid ticket, and admission is at the discretion of the organisers. Upon arrival, you will be allocated a pitch, vehicle movement within the campsite is not permitted once parked. If you wish to camp beside friends, please let us know in advance.

Fire safety is of utmost importance. Open fires, BBQs, fireworks, Chinese lanterns, generators, and sound systems are strictly forbidden. Children must be supervised at all times, and anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated, those who breach this rule will be removed without refund.

Campers will receive a wristband granting access to the campsite; this must be always worn and visible. Guests may be searched on entry, and illegal substances are strictly prohibited.

Dogs are welcome but must be always kept on a lead, with all mess cleared away.

If you require assistance, medical or otherwise, please speak to any steward or member of campsite staff.

COOKING & ALCOHOL

We operate a No Naked Flame policy. Cooking is only permitted in designated areas using small, purpose-built gas stoves (2.2kg bottles only, no spares). Stoves must never be used inside tents. Please note that cooking restrictions may apply during hot or dry weather, and we will inform ticket holders in advance if this is the case.

Campers may bring a reasonable amount of alcohol for consumption within the campsite only (for example, one case of cans or up to 1 litre of decanted spirits). Alcohol may not be taken from the campsite into the festival grounds. Glass of any kind is strictly prohibited.

Fresh drinking water taps, and waste bins are provided—please use them.

CAMPERVANS & CARAVANS

Campervan and caravan pitches measure 7m x 9m. Awnings are permitted within this space, allowing 2m between neighbouring plots, but are subject to approval by the campsite manager. Separate tents alongside campervans are not allowed.

Trackway is provided, though some ground may be uneven—please ensure vehicles are secure. Sleeping in cars is not permitted, and towing vehicles must be parked separately.

There are no water hookups. Each plot has a single electrical connection with a maximum load of 500 watts. Only fitted gas cylinders may be used—no spare bottles are allowed.

PITCHING YOUR TENT

Tent pitches measure 5m x 7m. Please pitch within your allotted space and keep fire lanes clear. Take note of your pitch number and nearby landmarks to help find your tent, especially after dark.

We recommend befriending your neighbours and keeping an eye on one another’s setups. Do not leave valuables unattended—contactless payments are accepted throughout the festival.

LEAVE NO TRACE

Before you depart, please tidy your pitch and help us leave the farm as we found it. Together, we can ensure the Kingdom remains beautiful for years to come.
